More sticks.

THE STORY: I know, the updates have been scant. Blame the holidays. Hope to be back on track pretty soon, but that, of course, depends on how much Mass Effect I play. Halo 3's been collecting dust lately. Anyway. Not much to say here. I lunged a guy, beat him down, and took a grenade stick. It was pretty cool.

Awkward moments in Capture The Flag

THE STORY: The greatest thing about Capture the Flag is that 90% of the time, 90% of your team will be off killing the other team as opposed to capturing the flag. In this particular shot, I'm the red one. I had just captured the blue team's flag, and a guy on their team with the exact same armor as me had just captured ours. We're in front of my base, and this engagement ended with a single hit kill on my part, followed by a score.

Duplication

THE STORY: Nothing special here. Just an Elite showing why Halo is so blissfully unrealistic - one can die and then run past their own body second later. He had a nice armor layout, too.

A stick in the making

THE STORY: Grenade sticks are, as noted in a previous post, one of the most satisfying was to make a kill. This guy was about two manheights above me with a battle rifle, keeping me pinned behind a pillar. I rushed him and chucked a plasma, not expecting to make contact, but I had hoped for a distraction. I got one better, sticking the grenade to his knee. It was pretty neat. Expect more sticks to appear in future posts.

Stuck on you

THE STORY: There are few things as satisfying as a successful grenade stick, and few things as frustrating as being stuck yourself. When the two happen conjunction, it creates a sort of clash - a union of all things positive and negative, and is never not worth remembering. I would like to point out that I(clad in Hayabusa) stuck the other guy first. So he's a copycat, and a jerk. This was also the fourth stick I made in this particular match, and shortly thereafter, earned the achievements for getting five of them.

Near Miss

THE STORY: It should be noted that Standoff is my favorite of the three Heroic maps. It should also be noted that Warthogs are an unending source of frustration for me. In this particular photograph, I was standing safely on a hill, sniping with the battle rifle, and stepped into this little valley in order to maintain a bead on a target. Out of nowhere, I see a flaming Warthog, machine gun blazing, rolling and bouncing towards me. It flew smoothly over my head, and upon it's landing, a team mate and I bombarded it with grenades.

Samuraiya

THE STORY: Swords became one of my favorite game modes after this match, in which I won at 25 with my closest rival at 16. This particular fellow and I met in midair, and as you can see, I was victorious. It should be noted that this match won me the Triple Kill, Steppin' Razor, and Killing Frenzy achievements.
